This video goes into DNA replication in A LOT more depth, but all the steps we discussed are there. DNA helicase is still the enzyme that separates the complimentary strands. DNA polymerase is still the enzyme that binds new complimentary nucleotides to the original strands. The video, though, does show that polymerase can only act in one direction. On of the two strands is synthesized what seems to be backwards. When all is said and done, the matching of bases still occurs. I hope you can appreciate how incredible of a reaction it is, how important it is, and how fast it occurs.
