As mentioned in earlier song of the week posts, I am a big Radiohead fan... probably my favorite band. Back in the days of CDs I would buy their singles just to get their B-Sides (now you can get all of that online). I was at Newbury Comics and thought I saw a Radiohead CD on the shelf, but it turned out to be "Radiodread", a reggae compilation from the Easy Star Allstars of Radiohead's biggest, perhaps most pivotal, album OK Computer. Admittedly, I am not a big listener of reggae ( I respect it, just haven't really given it a listen). But because I love Radiohead, I bought the CD... and was not disappointed. I loved their creative touch to a great album, offering their own perspective without changing the feeling of the original song. In fact, my favorite song is one of my least favorite on the original album, Electioneering, and is my song of the week. Feel free to look up the erst of the album (both Radiohead's as well as that of the Easy Star Allstars).
The Easy Star Allstars have also made tribute albums of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, Michael Jackson's Thriller, and The Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
